How can existing university protocol be a resource for enhancing social exchange and inclusivity for the newly arrived?

U is a re-design of the UK’s university enrollment process to encourage social integration within the newly arrived, displaced or minority students.

Context

As a group, we observed social segregation after academic hours. Interviews with students and teachers revealed a trend lacking in cultural empathy through communication.

As a new student far from home, our aim was to build a level of support through a series of group tasks, as an integral part of holistic education.
